The ISO 19011 Internal Auditor course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to plan, conduct, and report internal audits of management systems based on the ISO 19011:2018 standard. Participants will gain an understanding of the auditing principles and practices that underpin the standard, as well as learn how to identify non-conformities and propose corrective actions to improve the effectiveness of an organization’s management system.
The course provides a comprehensive overview of the ISO 19011:2018 standard, including its key concepts and terminology. Participants will learn about auditing principles, including impartiality, confidentiality, and independence, and how to conduct effective audits that comply with ISO 19011.
The course covers the internal audit process in detail, from planning and preparation to reporting and follow-up actions. Using the ISO 19011:2018 standard as a guide, participants will learn to identify and report non-conformities in an organization’s management system.
Participants will also learn about the different types of audits and how to apply the principles of ISO 19011 to each type, including the roles and responsibilities of auditors and audit teams. Communication skills will be emphasized, particularly in effectively communicating with auditees and other stakeholders during the audit process.
Finally, the course will cover how to evaluate the effectiveness of management system documentation and assess compliance with the requirements of the management system standard being audited. Participants will gain experience in proposing corrective actions to address non-conformities and improve the effectiveness of the management system.

Participants will be assessed through a written multiple-choice exam. Passing issues a certificate of competence.
Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of management systems and auditing principles. It is recommended that they have completed a foundation-level course on management systems prior to attending.
