The objective of this course is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the ISO 50001:2018 standard for Energy Management Systems (EnMS). The training aims to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement and improve energy management practices in compliance with the requirements of ISO 50001. Participants will learn practical strategies to enhance energy efficiency, reduce energy costs, and demonstrate environmental responsibility within their organizations.
The course on ISO 50001 for Practitioners offers an in-depth curriculum covering all relevant aspects of the standard. Participants will be introduced to ISO 50001:2018, its scope, and its significance in energy management and sustainability. The course will provide a detailed overview of the key clauses and requirements of ISO 50001, including energy policy, energy planning, and performance evaluation.
Participants will learn about energy performance indicators, energy baseline, and energy performance improvement targets. The training will delve into energy review, significant energy use, and operational controls to optimize energy consumption. Participants will also gain insights into energy monitoring and measurement, legal and other requirements, and internal audits.
Throughout the course, participants will engage in practical exercises, case studies, and group discussions to enhance their understanding and application of ISO 50001 principles. Emphasis will be placed on real-world scenarios to enable participants to address energy challenges and implement effective energy management systems.
3 Days
Participants will be assessed through a written multiple-choice exam. Successfully passing issues a certificate of competence.
Participants should have a basic understanding of energy management concepts and environmental practices. Prior experience in energy management or related fields will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
