Objective

The objective of this course is to enable participants to reapply and sustain the 5S methodology in their workplace. It focuses on identifying and eliminating waste, improving order and cleanliness, and building lasting ownership and accountability across teams. Participants will learn how to observe, implement, and maintain 5S standards using real workplace examples and visual tools.

  • Understanding the Purpose and Principles of 5S
  • Applying Sort, Set in Order, Shine on the Shop Floor
  • Identifying Waste, Inefficiencies, and Ownership Gaps
  • Developing Visual Standards and Cleaning Routines
  • Using 5S Observation and Audit Checklists
  • Creating Area-Based Accountability and Sustainment Plans

Duration

1 Day

Assessment

Participants will complete:

  • A multiple-choice knowledge assessment
  • Observation and output-based evaluations during practical sessions

Successful candidates will receive a Certificate of Competence.

None.

  • Operators, team leaders, supervisors, engineers, and CI/Lean coordinators
  • All levels (introductory to intermediate)
